Frequently asked questions

Which laptops use the 12302-1 motherboard?
File names in the catalog tie 12302-1 to the Acer Aspire S7-392, Acer S7-393 and Acer Aspire S7. Laptops sold under one model name can use different boards, so confirm by the code printed on the motherboard.
Which revision of 12302-1 do I have?
Files for this board mention Rev 1.0. The revision is printed on the PCB silkscreen, usually next to the board code. Pick files with the same revision when you can; if yours is not listed, the closest revision is usually fine for the schematic but check part positions in the boardview carefully.
What should I check before flashing the 12302-1 BIOS?
Read the original chip with a programmer and save two copies before writing anything. A dump from another board carries that board's serial number and MAC address, so restore yours from the backup.
