Laptop and Motherboard BIOS Dumps

BIOS files here are mostly full dumps of the SPI flash chip (25-series, 4–32 MB), sometimes packed together with the EC/KBC firmware. A full dump contains more than the BIOS: the flash descriptor, the Intel ME region, network MAC address, serial number and sometimes the Windows licence key.

Dumps are shared by repair shops that read them from working boards. Because each dump carries the data of the board it came from, it is usually written to a programmer only after the original chip has been backed up — then the board-specific data is moved over or restored.
