Editorial Policy
This page explains how the content on ExcitingSpas.com is produced, checked and kept up to date. It covers two kinds of content: the catalog (board pages built from file listings) and the guides (articles about board-level repair).
Who is responsible
All content is published under the responsibility of Daniel Kovach, laptop motherboard repair technician. More about the author and the project is on the About page.
The catalog
- Source. Board pages are built from public posts in 9 Telegram channels that share repair files. The catalog stores the file name, size, post date, post text and a link to the original post. Files are not copied or hosted here.
- Processing. File names are cleaned up and read by rules that recognise the brand, model, board code and revision. Duplicates posted in several channels are merged into one entry.
- Updates. The catalog is refreshed every day. New files appear on the New files page and on their board pages; the date shown next to a file is the date it was posted.
- Limits. File names are written by many different people, so some files can be grouped under the wrong board. Whether a file is complete or works is the uploader's claim. Board pages say so, and every file links to its original post so you can check the source.
- What is left out. Phone schematics, LCD panel dumps, graphics card files, component datasheets, paid posts and advertising are filtered out.
The guides
- Purpose. Guides explain methods: what to measure, in what order and why. They do not promise values that only apply to one board; where a voltage, part number or sequence depends on the board, the guide says so and points to the schematic.
- Writing and review. Each guide is written or edited and then reviewed by Daniel Kovach before publication. When software tools, including AI writing assistants, are used for drafting or editing, the text is checked by a person against schematics, datasheets and bench practice before it goes live.
- Sources. Guides rely on manufacturers' datasheets, published schematics and boardviews, and practical repair experience. Brand and product names are used only to identify hardware.
- Dates. Every guide shows its publication date and the date of its last update.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, a broken link or a file under the wrong board, please tell us. Confirmed errors in guides are fixed and the "Updated" date is changed. Catalog errors are fixed in the parsing rules, so the fix applies to every affected board on the next daily update.
